Who Says You Can't Buy Happiness?

Finding Joy at La Vie en Rose Boutique

By Laura Craver February 13, 2018

Winter is great and all, but I’m starting to feel a little trapped after being snowed in for days upon days. Thankfully, sunshine and warm weather are just around the corner!

Speaking of just around the corner, there’s an adorable new boutique in our neighborhood that I’ve been dying  to introduce. La Vie en Rose Boutique opened its doors last October. It’s your one stop shop for everything lovely, from clothing and jewelry to handbags and gifts. They even carry artisan men’s items for your honey.

Owner Megan Boardman says, “We sell clothing, accessories, and gifts. We strive to make our customers feel BEAUTIFUL and special as soon as they walk in the door! We cater to all shapes and sizes at reasonable prices. We strive to be unique and carry items you don't find anywhere else.”

I was able to stop in and shop for a while last week, and I fell in love. Everywhere I looked, there was something pretty, luxurious, or whimsical to see. The love that owner Megan and fashion consultant Jen Mathis pour into La Vie en Rose is evident, and it makes you feel right at home the minute you step inside.

As I toured the shop, I found about a hundred things that I needed in my life, from a dainty floral sundress to a collection of cheeky greeting cards. I was amazed that everything I saw seemed to speak to my own sense of style. I asked Megan and Jen about the inspiration for their decor and products. This was Megan’s reply,

“I love everything vintage… We want our customers to feel like they've stepped back in time when they come in - taken back to an era when customer service was valued and Audrey Hepburn was on the screen! Big band music or Frank Sinatra can always be heard on the radio, and our walls are splattered with positivity and old worldliness!”

Positivity is right! Megan and Jen inspired me with their joy and attention to detail. I loved spending time chatting with each of them just as much as I did browsing the racks. I found that the longer I stayed, the more treasures I found. I didn’t want to leave!

As if their shop isn’t perfect enough, Megan and Jen spent the weekend at market in Las Vegas, collecting lots of new goodies to debut this spring.

In addition to new products, La Vie en Rose has some special events planned for this Spring and Summer. Their Galentine’s event drew a crowd last week, even in the middle of a snow storm. I was bummed to miss out on the wine, chocolate, shopping, and giveaways. I can’t wait to see what Megan and Jen have in store for Spring!

I’ll leave you with a little inspiration from the owner:

“What do we love most about what we do? Celebrating women and making them feel beautiful! We strive to be a place where women come to feel loved and appreciated!”
