Local Business Spotlight: Biggby of Flat Rock

August 2018

By Blair Stamper, Macaroni Kid Downriver Publisher August 26, 2018

Being a Downriver mom, I'm always looking for local small businesses to support.  Whether this be bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, LuLaRoe, essential oils, skincare, and so much more!  I've decided to focus on one business each month I have supported and to share my wonderful experiences.

**Where everybody knows your name.**

You know that coffee place, where you just feel like home?  Where you walk in and everyone knows your name and you are greeted with "Hey Blair, the normal this morning?"  My husband and I have found that place.  For us, it is Biggby Coffee Flat Rock.

Biggby opened in Flat Rock in 2016.  Since then, the owner, Diane Parker, has become a legend in Flat Rock.  Not only has she created a family-friendly business that hosts paint nights and story time by the Flat Rock Public Library, but she also participates in every single community event.  From Riverfest to Taste of Flat Rock to Summer Fest and more.  She is always willing to donate goodies to a good cause and has created an amazing business to visit.  Not only has she created a friendly atmosphere, but she also hires the nicest baristas around and encourages them to be just as welcoming as herself.  The great coffee, coupons galore, and amazing bragels are just icing on the cake.

Even better?  There is going to be a drive-thru soon!  I'm so excited.  It means I can pick up my Biggby fix even easier, which if anyone is wondering, is an iced Butter Bear and sometimes a bagel and cream cheese.

If you haven't visited Biggby Coffee Flat Rock, you need to!
