One of my favorite traditions as a kid was singing the 12 days of Christmas. Each day as it got closer to Christmas, my mom and I would sing a new day of the song. I always forgot 10, 11, and 12, but it was fun to hum along as my mom sang the song loud and proud for the both of us. Now, thanks to Pete the Cat, my family can continue that tradition with a twist.

This book is a great lesson of what the Holiday spirit is all about. It encourages readers to give and be kind to one another throughout the Holiday season. Your children will love the main character, who just so happens to be based off a real cat from a shelter. They will also love the bright pictures and being able to guess which gift is coming next in the story.
