MOMS - It's never too late to REINVENT yourself!

Moms, It's never too late to reinvent yourself -

I was in my early 20's when I met my husband. I was immediately swept off of my feet and headed to married life. Shortly after getting married (like seriously within months lol), I became pregnant with our first born son, Jason jr. After our son was born my husband was a full time chef working at a hotel working crazy hours and I didn't have anyone I felt I could trust with our son. So before I knew it, I was a full-time stay home mom. Although I dibbled and dabbed into other endeavors along the way (owing a shoe business, at home call center jobs etc.) I slowly, but surely began to realize that I wasn't feeling all the way fulfilled within myself. Now don't get it wrong, I absolutely loved our family, but it was important that I was happy outside of my family.

I was doing some of everything before marriage

Before my husband and I were married, I managed a retail store, was on the youth staff at our local ministry, had my own youth television show at the ministry, was in a singing group, modeling and so much more. So after I had our first baby, I was starting to reminisce about some of those things. I was still so thankful to God and grateful for our family, but something inside of me was wanting more. More of happiness within myself, more of needing to feel fulfilled and more of having my own outside of being a wife and mother. There was much more to me then that. During all of this, my husband was very supportive in whatever it was that I wanted to do, and that helped a ton.

The REINVENTION!

After time went on, I eventually had another baby. This time it was a baby girl by the name of Reign Abigail  . Before I had her, we prayed for a baby girl and even bought her things before even finding out she was a girl lol! That's just how much faith that we had that we were gonna get what we asked for. I became even more protective over my children and put my feelings and dreams on hold once again. As our daughter got older, I not only had the feeling come back of wanting more, but I was REALLY determined to do more. I brainstormed over things I could do at home, outside of home and all still while having my babies full-time. After this, I started a branding company. This company was created to help build others their images, and of course I had to start with myself. I immediately booked my makeup artist, got my clothes together (I styled myself), did my hair and booked my photo shoot. There was no way I was going to start this thing over without RE-introducing myself to the world!! Because when you look good, you FEEL good and become truly unstoppable!!

After this, I got back on modeling, picked up a new hobby and was even booked for singing...a long time passion of mine.

More time went by and I had our 3rd baby, Jeremiah Josiah! I had a momentum going with my own career that was unstoppable during this time, and it didn't stop. I then learned how to appreciate it all. Being a Wife, Mother AND still doing things that I loved. I've added on tons of things to my roaster since then, and I'm going to keep going because it is possible to "have it all" and I'll always stand on that.

To all of the MOMS reading this:

Yes it's a blessing to be a wife and mother, but don't forget that YOU are amazing, and YOU are a blessing!

Take care of your family, but don't forget to take care of YOU and remember that it is NEVER too late to reinvent YOURSELF!

You're fierce Mama and don't you ever forget that!
