So you’ve had that birthday party, and now you have tons of leftover crepe papers in random colors. What to do?! Well besides the obviously of keeping it in your basement until you have another party with those colors in the next 10 years, here’s some cool ideas!

1. Build a crepe paper maze in your hallway

2. Make a holiday craft

3. Make a crepe paper suncatcher

4. Make a car wash in your hallway

5. Crepe paper bracelets

Directions for each activity below:

Crepe Paper Maze:

Supplies Needed:

-Crepe Paper

-Tape

Directions:

In your hallway grab your crepe paper and start taping strips from one end of the wall to the other. The best part is you can use whatever you have on hand! Make as many strips as you like, you can make this easy for littles or crazy hard for the big kids. Have contests to see who gets out the fastest, a horn for when someone touches the crepe paper, have fun!

Crepe Paper Craft

Supplies Needed:

-Crepe paper

-Paper plate or card stock

-Glue

-Extra decorations if desired (Pipe cleaners, beads, glitter)

Directions: You can make this a craft for ANY occasion! Using the paper plate or card stock cut out the shape you want. We did a fish, but you could do a heart for Valentine‘s Day, a pumpkin for Halloween and so on. Cut crepe paper into small sections. Apply glue to card stock/paper plate and stick on crepe paper. You can scrunch the pieces or make them into balls.

Crepe Paper Suncatcher

- Crepe Paper

- Cardboard paper/colored paper

- Contact Paper

Directions: Using the colored paper create an outline of your suncatcher. You can do many shapes for this: heart, butterfly, star etc. Cut the contact paper with border as guideline. Take off top of contact paper so sticky side is facing up. Cut tissue paper and place in desired pattern. Or make it random! Cover with other contact paper.

Crepe Paper Bracelets

- Crepe Paper

- Tape

- Bead or bracelet clasp optional

Directions: Pick three strands of crepe paper around 18 inches in length. Place them on top of each other and tape them on a flat surface. Begin braiding the crepe paper by grabbing the paper closest to the table and placing it over the top, repeating this motion with every strand until its done. Once you’ve reached the end you can cut the bracelet at the tape. You can tie the ends together, tape and place a bead over it or purchase a bracelet clasp to attach.

Crepe Paper Car Wash

- Crepe Paper

- Tape

- Spray bottle, box/hamper

Directions: Tape crepe paper along ceiling or doorway every 1-2 feet to mimic a car wash. Child can walk through the car wash or sit in a box/hamper. One person could push or pull child. Someone can stand buy to spray water and dry!
